About HR Lehn Educational Consulting
Many families find navigating the post-secondary planning process a daunting or overwhelming task, especially when seeking admission to competitive and highly selective university and college programs. There are many post-secondary options available to students; however, identifying the critical factors that will allow for a great college/university fit, and narrowing the scope of options and applying, can be exceptionally challenging without some support. In addition, the process can cause significant stress and tension between parents and their children, as they wrestle with demands on their time, confusion about their respective roles and all of the decisions involved.
- Minimize the stress and confusion inherent in this process through regular communication, access to a wealth of resources, clear timelines and guidelines
- Offer a structured, step-by-step process and advising for the student, guiding them through specific requirements and tasks
- Support the parents as they move through the stages of planning with their child
- Offer an “open door” for families to discuss their unique challenges and questions along the way
- Admission offers from well-researched schools that are an excellent fit for the student
- Affordable options from which to choose in the end
- The student is invested in the process and begins to take the lead in making decisions about their future
- Parents are optimally involved and in a better position to support their child, equipped with resources and tools and an “objective outsider’s” guidance
- Families feel a sense of direction and control over the process and, hopefully, a sense of enjoyment and anticipation as they see the process taking shape
